Group photograph of nine African American women, the wives of members of the South Chattanooga Pastors Union, November 7, 1940. The photograph consists of nine women gathered around an end table. All the women are well dressed, in dresses and suits in varying styles. Two women are sitting in straight back chairs with their ankles crossed and hands resting in their laps, while the other seven are standing. The woman on the far right is holding a baby in her arms. They appear to be gathered in the parlor of someone’s house. There are several large wicker basket with flowers and vases with flowers scattered throughout the room. “South Chattanooga Pastors Wives. Nov. 7th 1940. Photo Brazelton” written at the bottom of the image.
